The COST LIAISE Action kicks off on 24 October with its first Management Committee meeting in Brussels.
In a milestone event held in Brussels, the inaugural meeting of the LIAISE Cost Action marked a significant step towards revolutionizing industrial practices in Europe. LIAISE, an acronym for “Cooperation, development and cross-border transfer of Industrial Symbiosis among industry and stakeholders” embodies a commitment to advancing economic and business sustainability through its specialised expertise in the field. With a focus on technical Industrial Symbiosis synergies, business models, awareness enhancement, dissemination, and management committee activities, LIAISE aims to bridge interdisciplinary gaps and catalyse the adoption of sustainable practices across industries.
At its core, Industrial Symbiosis champions the interconnectedness and mutual benefit of industries, leveraging waste, byproducts, and resources to create a circular and more sustainable economy. LIAISE seeks to harness this potential to enhance resource efficiency, minimize waste generation, and stimulate economic growth, all while reducing the environmental footprint of industrial activities.
