LIAISE a COST Action: An interdisciplinary research network 
A COST Action is an interdisciplinary research network that brings researchers and innovators together to investigate a topic for 4 years. Typically are made up of researchers from academia, SMEs, public institutions and other relevant organisations or interested parties. COST Actions offer an inclusive, pan-European environment for individuals of all levels of seniority to grow their professional research network and boost their careers.

Working Groups

We have defined four working groups. The first three are technical but encompassing different aspects of Industrial Symbiosis. The first one is related to the Industrial Symbiosis Technical synergies; the second one is more focused on the business model and other financial aspects. And finally, the third one is related to training and capacitation in order to enhance the awareness acceptance of IS.

WG1. IS Technical Synergies

Gather knowledge for establishing a collaborative framework focusing on the different streams that can be covered by IS and enabling sustainable development.

WG2. IS Models Business

To develop a framework for enabling the implementation of circular business models, especially the IS business models, among others.

WG3. Enhance the awareness and acceptance of IS

To raise awareness and acceptance and engagement of IS concept and its contribution to society through different approaches: training, industrial supporting tools, governance.

WG4. Dissemination and exploitation

Ensure the maximisation of the Action’s impact during and after its four-year duration, through various dissemination, exploitations and outreach activities.

LIASE Structure and People

I would like to present you here the LIAISE COST Action. As you could see in the slide, the management committee will be made up by an Action Chair and Vice Chair and also WG leaders and Co-leaders for the four WGs that I detailed before.  
Apart from that, there will be the Grant Holder , which will deal with the Budget of the Action and also, some other committes such as Grant Awarding Coordinator and Science Communication Coordinator.
