LIAISE COST Action: Reflecting on Achievements and Planning for the Future at the Zagreb Meeting

On 27 November 2024, the LIAISE COST Action project successfully hosted its third Core Group and Management Committee meeting in Zagreb, Croatia. The hybrid event brought together members in person and online to reflect on the achievements of the first grant period (October 2023–October 2024) and plan the roadmap for the newly started second grant period.

Reflecting on the First Grant Period

The meeting began with a comprehensive review of the progress made over the past year. Highlights included:

The collaboration and dedication of the LIAISE network were key in achieving these results, setting a solid foundation for future activities.

Charting the Course for the Second Grant Period

As the second grant period begins (November 2024–October 2025), participants outlined priorities for the year ahead:

  1. Technical Advancements: Continue addressing key challenges and delivering impactful research aligned with project objectives.
  2. Transversal Activities: Maintain and expand engagement initiatives, including new webinars, science cafés, and capacity-building programs.
  3. Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement: Strengthen partnerships and promote the uptake of project outcomes by policymakers, industries, and communities.

The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration and innovation to achieve the project’s vision of fostering sustainability through Industrial Symbiosis and Circular Economy practices.
