On 24th September, LIAISE COST Action member Viktor Prokop organized a workshop titled “Towards a Greener Future: Workshop on Current Trends in Sustainability and Circular Economy Research” at the University of Pardubice, Faculty of Economics and Administration, Science and Research Centre. The event gathered experts and researchers to discuss the latest developments in sustainability and the circular economy.

The workshop featured with a general online presentation of the LIAISE project by the Action Chair, Almudena Muñoz, who outlined the project’s key objectives and progress. This set the stage for deeper discussions on sustainability initiatives across Europe.

Jiri Strouhal, WG4 co-leader, attended the workshop in person and gave an insightful presentation on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks and their integral connection to circularity and sustainability. His talk emphasized the importance of ESG practices in driving sustainable growth and highlighted how Circular Economy principles can enhance corporate responsibility.

The workshop facilitated meaningful exchanges on emerging sustainability trends and reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in achieving a greener future.
